Bruce M. Engel

Bruce Engel is a partner in our Chicago office. Bruce represents insurers and reinsurers worldwide. His practice primarily involves reinsurance and insurance coverage analysis, litigation and arbitration in a wide variety of areas. Bruce currently serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Reinsurance Practice Group.

Bruce is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and ARIAS (AIDA Reinsurance & Insurance Arbitration Society). Bruce has authored a number of articles analyzing reinsurance related issues.

Bruce has recently been named a 2006 "Illinois Super Lawyer" in the area of insurance coverage, which is a distinction only awarded to the top 5% of practicing attorneys in Illinois. This recognition is listed in the February 2006 issue of Chicago magazine's "Illinois Super Lawyers" Special Advertising Section, as well as Illinois Super Lawyers® magazine. In addition, Bruce has been recognized by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in a survey by Law Bulletin Publishing Company and listed on LeadingLawyers.com.

Bruce is admitted to the Illinois bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois.
