Katherine K. Liner

Katherine Liner is a partner in the firm's Orange County office. She concentrates her practice on insurance coverage. She advises and represents insurers with respect to various types of insurance policies and coverage issues involving commercial and personal lines policies, first party and third party claims, including construction defect and bad faith. In addition, Katherine has litigated coverage disputes, bad faith, contribution and subrogation actions, and complex environmental and asbestos insurance coverage matters. She is also familiar with director and officer liability coverage.

Katherine also has extensive experience in general civil litigation in state and federal courts where she has defended corporate and individual clients in a variety of matters involving toxic tort, product liability, breach of contract, premises liability, wrongful death and professional negligence.

Katherine is admitted to practice in California and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. She is a contributing editor to the firm's insurance coverage publication regarding extra-contractual liability, Extra! Extra!, and the firm's publication regarding directors and officers liability coverage, D&O Advisory, as well as former co-chair of the firm's annual "Hot Topics" seminar in California in 2005 and 2006. Over the years, she has enjoyed judging or coaching trial and appellate moot court programs with aspiring attorneys in high school and law school.
