Howard Priess is a founding partner of Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess, LLP. He is an experienced trial lawyer in all areas of tort litigation with an emphasis in product liability, construction litigation and commercial litigation. Howard has tried over 300 jury trials in multiple jurisdictions focusing on medical devices, automotive products, construction injuries, industrial products and consumer product issues. He has co-authored a text on U.S. product liability law for the risk engineering department of a large U.S. carrier. Howard also has subrogation and first party property experience. He lectures frequently on product liability issues and trial tactics to industry groups and at legal seminars.

Howard's extensive trial and appellate experience includes trying and arguing cases in both state and federal courts and arguing in the Appellate and Supreme Courts in the State of Illinois.

Howard is an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers; American and Illinois State Bar Associations; Federal Trial Bar; Society of Trial Lawyers; and the Trial Lawyers Club of Chicago. Additionally, Howard has been recognized as one of the top business litigation attorneys in Illinois for the past four years, most recently in the February 2008 issue of Chicago magazine, as well as the 2008 Illinois Super Lawyers® magazine.  Recently, Howard was recognized by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in a survey by Law Bulletin Publishing Company and listed on LeadingLawyers.com.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Howard received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law.
