David Simantob

David Simantob is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. David’s practice focuses on complex insurance coverage and bad faith matters, appeals, and Alternative Dispute Resolution involving intellectual property, media, commercial general liability, errors and omissions, personal lines and first-party property claims.

David received his undergraduate degree in History and International Relations from Brown University and his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.

David is admitted to practice in California and before all the United States District Courts of California. He is fluent in Persian and conversant in French.

David is a co-chair of the firm’s annual “Hot Topics” seminar in California. Additionally, David has been recognized as one of the top insurance coverage attorneys in California for the past three years in the February 2006, 2007 and 2008 issues of Los Angeles and Southern California Super Lawyers® magazines.

David’s reported decisions include Clinical Research Inst. of S. Oregon v. Kemper Ins. Cos., 191 Or.App. 595, 84 P.3d 147 (2004); Century Surety Co. v. United Pacific Ins. Co., 109 Cal.App.4th 1246 (2003); Twin City Fire Ins. Co. v. Ennen, 2000 U.S. Dist. Lexis 6609 (E.D. Cal. 2000), aff’d, 2003 U.S. App. Lexis 7673 (9th Cir. 2003); Myers v. Allstate Ins. Co., 989 F.Supp. 1250 (C.D. Cal. 1997).
