Robert S. Soderstrom

Robert Soderstrom is a founding partner of Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess, LLP. He works extensively on insurance coverage and reinsurance matters and lectures frequently on these areas. Bob has also handled business and corporate transaction suits as well as environmental law, appellate matters, complex civil litigation and class actions.

Bob is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel where he served as Chairman of the Reinsurance Section. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Chicago and Illinois State Bar Associations, ARIAS (AIDA Reinsurance & Insurance Arbitration Society), the Trial Lawyers Club of Chicago and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association. 

Additionally, in 2006 Bob was named a "Top 100 Illinois Super Lawyer" and has been recognized as one of the top insurance coverage attorneys in Illinois, most recently in the February 2008 issue of Chicago magazine, as well as the 2008 Illinois Super Lawyers magazine. Bob has also been acknowledged by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in a survey by Law Bulletin Publishing Company and listed on LeadingLawyers.com.

Bob is a member of the bar in both Illinois and Wisconsin and is admitted to practice in the Seventh, Eighth and Tenth Circuits as well as the United States Supreme Court.

Born in Chicago, Bob attended Kenyon College and received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law.
