Pete V. Albanis

Pete Albanis is an associate in the firm's Chicago office. He concentrates his practice on intellectual property matters, both litigation and transactional, and general commercial litigation. Pete has prepared for and participated in several trials and has appeared for oral argument before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois and the District of New Jersey. He has filed numerous applications to register trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and applications to register copyrights with the Copyright Office. Pete has drafted, negotiated, and reviewed several independent contractor agreements involving software licensing. As a result, a good portion of his client base consists of computer software developers in and around Chicago.

Pete received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in 1999 and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2002. While in law school, Pete externed for Judge Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Advanced Legal Writing. He is a member of the Chicago and Hellenic Bar Associations.
