Peter Choy is an associate in the firm’s Newark office and practices in the area of litigation and white-collar criminal defense.

Peter received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree from Rutgers, School of Criminal Justice. Peter worked as a U.S. Probation and Parole Officer in the Eastern District of New York and Northern District of California, and held the position of Sentencing Guideline Specialist. Peter later went on to receive his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Martin G. Cronin in Essex County, N.J. He then served in the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, where he successfully prosecuted a wide range of crimes such as homicide, armed robbery, carjacking, aggravated assault, narcotics distribution, financial fraud, identity theft, and theft by deception.

Peter is licensed to practice in the state courts of New Jersey and New York. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Eastern District of New York.
