Kathy Karaboyas Malamis

Kathy Karaboyas Malamis is an associate in the firm's Chicago office. Kathy's practice is currently concentrated in the areas of insurance analysis, insurance coverage litigation, bad faith and commercial litigation. Kathy has handled insurance-related disputes throughout the country, including those involving issues of general coverage, environmental coverage, and advertising/personal injury coverage.

Kathy was recognized as one of Illinois’ top young insurance coverage attorneys by Illinois Super Lawyers® magazine and named a “2008 Rising Star.” She is licensed to practice in Illinois state courts and before the Northern District of Illinois and the Northern District of Indiana. Kathy is a member of the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations.

Kathy received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2001, where she served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the DePaul Law Review and as an assistant Legal Writing instructor. Kathy also received the CALI Award for academic excellence in both Legal Writing and Criminal Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Loyola University of Chicago in 1998.
