Dana Hentges Sheridan is an experienced trial attorney who represents insurers, other corporate entities and individuals in complex, multi-party civil litigation. She has jury and bench trial experience in cases involving insurance coverage, contribution and reimbursement, bad faith, toxic and mass tort, and product liability.
For insurers, Dana handles the full range of issues they encounter from bad faith and insurance coverage, to litigation of insurance coverage issues and insurer defenses. She serves as coverage and monitoring counsel for complex claims involving GL, excess, E&O and D&O coverage. She has a wealth of experience handling claims involving cyber/tech, privacy, professional liabilities (accountants, doctors, lawyers, architects and engineers), employment, financial institutions, subprime lending/credit crisis, downloadable media content claims, and claims (including long-tail claims) in the context of bodily injury/property damage, products liability, environmental, toxic and mass torts, and construction defect.
In addition to her insurance practice, Dana represents individuals and corporate entities in civil litigation, and also provides risk management counsel to corporate clients, including counsel relative to privacy and information risk management.
Dana was a contributing author to Chapter 38, “Understanding Errors and Omissions Insurance,” New Appleman Insurance Law Practice Guide, Volume 3 (2007). She serves as an editor of Tressler's Specialty Lines Advisory, a monthly newsletter for specialty lines clients.
In recognition of her experience and accomplishments, Dana was selected for inclusion in the 2007, 2009 and 2010 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars®. She was also named as a 2011 Top Attorney by Pasadena Magazine.
She is actively involved in PLUS; is a member of the ABA’s Tort and Insurance Practice Group; and member of the California State Bar Association's Litigation Section.
