Diversity Statement

We have set as one of our fundamental priorities the recruitment, retention and promotion of attorneys of diverse backgrounds. This priority is reflected in the prominence of diversity practices and concerns in our firm culture and strategic planning efforts. We place this emphasis on diversity not just because of our core belief that it is the right thing to do, but also because a diverse work force is absolutely essential to our continued ability to provide the highest quality of legal services to our clients into the 21st century.


For the third-year running, attorneys at Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess LLP participated in the annual “Diversity In The Law” Program. This Program provides minority and non-traditional undergraduate students who are considering a career in law an exciting opportunity to explore various legal institutions in Chicago. TSMP was invited to host a group of students for an afternoon visit. The Firm provided the students with a tour of the Firm and the chance to directly interact with a diverse panel of attorneys, including: Andrew Boris, Marcos Cancio, Devin Maddox, Brian Sanchez, Shevonn Smith, Ryan Taylor, Charmagne Topacio and David Yuen. The panel presented the students with information regarding the Firm and their varying experiences from law school through their present careers. The Diversity In The Law Program is one of several events that TSMP participates in yearly to showcase its commitment to diversity and attract talented candidates of diverse backgrounds.
