George Marchetti is a partner based in the Bolingbrook office of Tressler LLP. He practices in the areas of municipal and school law.
George is a co-author of "Municipal Litigation", Illinois Municipal Law, Ch. 16, Institute for Continuing Legal Education, from 1987 to the present and "Variations, Special Uses and Appeals from Administration Decisions", Illinois Land Use law, Chapter 3, Institute for Continuing Legal Education, from 2004 to the present. He was a Legal Writing Instructor, Chicago-Kent College of Law, 1977-1978.
George is also very active in promoting wind turbines and solar photovoltaic panels as carbon-free generators of electricity for municipalities, school districts and park districts. He organized and chaired a panel presentation at the 2008 Illinois Municipal League Annual Conference with respect to renewable energy law, governmental consortium formation, wind farm how-to’s, zoning and land use issues, power purchase agreements, alternative energy financing options for local governments and public/private energy partnerships.
