James Knox focuses his practice on fidelity, surety, insurance, commercial and construction law and has extensive negotiation, trial and appellate experience. Jim frequently lectures on topics in his practice areas and has published over 35 published articles and book chapters, including, most recently, Recovery of Loss, Financial Institution Bonds (3d Ed. Nov. 2008) with Mark Kriegel, and Recent Developments in Fidelity Law, with Tom McNeil and Lisa Coplen, Vol. 43, Tort Trial & Ins. Prac. L.J. (2008). For five years, Jim served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Fidelity and Surety Digest, a publication of the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association.
Jim has achieved the Martindale-Hubbell AV® Rating and was selected for inclusion in 2011 Illinois Super Lawyers®. He is proficient in Spanish.
