Jeffrey Alperin is a partner in the Bolingbrook office of Tressler LLP. Jeff is a member of the firm’s local governmental law team, co-chairs its condominium and common interest association team and has over 14 years of litigation experience. Jeff has extensive knowledge of municipal law, school law, homeowner association law and insurance law.
Jeff has litigated a vast array of wide-ranging issues for municipalities, condominium and homeowner associations, park districts, corporations, insurers and individuals. He provides excellent insight when counseling clients both in and out of court. His diverse legal background and ability to make the complicated seem simple are genuine assets in resolving problems big and small.
Prior to entering private practice, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Robert McLaren of the Illinois Appellate Court and drafted numerous opinions that set precedent on many aspects of Illinois law.

Counsels local governmental entities on compliance with Illinois law and statutes, including the Municipal Code, the School Code, the Park District Code, the Open Meetings Act, the Freedom of Information Act, the Tort Immunity Act and Illinois zoning laws.

Successfully briefed and argued motions for summary judgment on behalf of CGL insurers, resulting in dismissal of all claims.

Successfully represented municipalities in court on several different matters, including those involving billboard issues, Section 1983 actions, employment law and contractual disputes.

Successfully litigated insurance coverage matter involving multimillion dollar award against municipality for Section 1983 case.

Successfully represented large homeowner association in personal injury litigation involving several codefendants and one of the largest settlements in Illinois history.

Litigated a wide variety of cases, including contract claims, Lanham Act cases, issues involving flooding, automobile dealership matters, insurance coverage issues, FEMA matters, easement issues, attorney and accountant malpractice, personal injury defense, employment matters and construction law.
