Ralph Kooy is a trial attorney practicing primarily in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction litigation including surety. His practice also includes fidelity insurance and general coverage litigation.
Most recently Ralph has served as program chairman of the DRI Fidelity and Surety Roundtable and is a member of the steering committee of the Fidelity and Surety Law Section of the DRI. He is also an editor of the ABA Fidelity and Surety Law Journal. Ralph has authored various papers including Procedural and Practical Considerations Relating to the Confession or Guilty Plea of the Fidelity Bond Principal (Eastern Bond Claims Association, 1999); Vicarious Liability for Employee Malfeasance (Chicago Surety Claims Association, 2000); and Associated Risks Of Principal Financing (Chicago Surety Claims Association, 2002).
In 2005, Ralph was selected for inclusion in Illinois Super Lawyers®.
