Thomas Drennan is a partner based in the Chicago office of Tressler LLP. Tom focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage issues, insurance analysis, bad faith, insurance-related litigation, appellate work and international insurance coverage. Tom represents insurance companies with respect to insurance coverage and bad faith litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. In addition, he represents clients in connection with appellate proceedings, in various jurisdictions, including the preparation of appellate briefs and the presentation of oral arguments before appellate courts. He also provides advice to insurance companies regarding claims against its policyholders, including the examination of insurance coverage issues and evaluation of the underlying claims and lawsuits. Tom also represents foreign insurers in connection with claims and losses that take place in the United States.
In 2011, Tom was selected for inclusion in Illinois Super Lawyers® as a "Rising Star". Tom has spoken on complex insurance coverage issues at seminars conducted by the Property Loss Research Bureau, the Illinois Association of Defense and Trial Counsel, the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society, and The National Forum for Environmental & Toxic Tort Issues. He has also written articles regarding insurance coverage issues for National Underwriter and for the firm’s insurance bad faith publication, Extra! Extra!, for which he serves as the editor.
